The Manoir is located within a 5 mins drive from the nearest town of Mur-de-Bretagne which has all the necessary amenities including banks, supermarkets, restaurants and shops and about 15-20 mins drive from the medieval tourist towns of Pontivy and Loudeac.

Pontivy is a large town with a beautiful chateau and old town quarter. Formerly named Napoleonville after his design of the new town, it has a beautiful setting on the Nantes-Brest canal and has everything you could possibly need for a days excursion. There are some lovely restaurants and very nice shops!

Our Manoir is only 8 kms from Lac de Guerledan where you can enjoy various water sports such as water ski-ing and swimming, or hire a motor boat, canoe, kayak, rowing boat, dinghy or pedalo, or enjoy a lake cruise, or take dinner one evening during the summer months on a floating restaurant. There are also some great places to eat and drink onshore and three small beaches which offer safe bathing for children.

The local area is ideal for bike riding with many small quiet country lanes to explore. Cycle along the tow path of the Nantes/ Brest canal or from Carhaix to Loudeac passing by Lac Guerlédan you can now cycle along the 111 kilometre long consolidated sand trail following the tracks of the old railway line.If you want to leave the track there are 24 round trips which vary inlength from 4 ½ to 16 ½ km.

Our beautifully restored newly renovated 17th century countryside Manoir is in a courtyard setting surrounded by 5 acres of private landscaped gardens including our large heated 10 x 5 meter enclosed swimming pool with Roman steps, a large terraced area and plenty of sun loungers.


The Manoir House has been superbly renovated and decorated throughout with a traditional French feel, and whilst it offers every modern convenience with everything you would expect to find in your own home including WiFi internet access and UK satellite TV (freeview), it boasts many original features such as exposed beams, stripped floorboards, terracotta tiled floors and an original open fire place with wood burning stove.


It is furnished with comfort and elegance in mind, a mixture of local antique and modern furniture, making it a stylish and supremely comfortable home in which to unwind.

Bedrooms:

The Manoir has 5 bedrooms and is arranged as 3 doubles, 1 twin bedded and large family room with kingsize bed and 2 single beds. One of double rooms can be changed to a twin if required. Travel cot(s) and baby equipment can be provided on request.

Bathrooms:

There are 3 bathrooms. 1 on the ground floor with shower, wc and basin, 1 on the first floor with bath, shower wc and basin and 1 en-suite on the second floor with shower, wc and basin.

Kitchen:

Fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, American fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, combination coffee maker, washing machine (housed in ground floor bathroom).

Living Rooms:

Cosy and spacious lounge with a range of large leather sofas/armchair, wood burning stove small library, TV with DVD.

Other:

Dining room leading off from the kitchen encompassing a large dining table with seating for up to 12 people double patio doors leading to courtyard and gardens.

Cleaning/towels/

All linen and bath towels provided (except pool towels) . If you are staying for 2 weeks, we will service the property if so requested after the
first week.
