Farming and Fishing in Pas de Calais, France
Farming At the north-east of France, Nord-Pas de Calais' farming is famous for its cooler climate in comparison to the south of France. The region's farmers are one of the biggest cereal producers of France. Clay soils make the fields really fertile, which is ideal for farming. A cooler climate enables the farmers to provide vegetables for the markets such as onions, garlic and other types of vegetables.
